I don’t mean to brag, but look at this setlist. I grew up with his work – my parents played the band and the solo stuff all the time. It was all over the radio. We sang Ob La Di in kindergarten. Yellow Submarine was my bath-time story. Yes, I had a bath-time story. But never did i ever think id ever see a Beatle. Ever. Hoped to see George play live one day, but no. I went to Strawberry Fields on Johns birthday back in 2005. And did bump into Yoko Ono the other day near the Bon Jovi hotel I was stalking them at, and that was surreal.
McCartney last night was brilliant. Voice was a bit off, but who cares??? The crowd was louder than him most of the show anyway. Songs 20 through to 36 made me rather happy – and im not even the biggest fan of the mans work.
There was a live YouTube stream of the show and its still online of you want to check it out www.youtube.com/bornhivfree
