what it is I know....

....... you have always been my safe home.

Sort of.

Sydney was dead to me when I left and moved to Melbourne in august 2008. I vowed never to return. But failed. Good friends and of course sydney gets more shows than melbourne so I had to return at certain times. Melbourne and a select group of awesome friends put up a strong case for me to stay there too - even with its bleak weather and pathetic thai food. But you adjust to the weather and you eat indian food (sydney has pathetic indian food and melbourne indian food is amazeballs so it all balances out in my world).

But with each return trip to sydney, the town became less and less dead to me. One trip in particular.

So today I arrived here. Sydney. Back in black. Literally. Its been a while. "I aint here on business, I'm only here for fun". Sort of. Helping a brother out for a few days then its back to the bleak weather, bad thai food and the 2 best goddaughters I could ever ask for. And that's just 2 of the reasons why its good to be back here. Huh?

Here. In Australia. Let the games begin.

I ain't done yet. Sort of.

i dig my toes into the sand

the ocean looks like a thousand diamonds

strewn across a blue blanket

i lean against the wind

pretend that I am weightless

and in this moment I am happy...
