schools out for cherry cherry

2 shows. Same venue. 48 hours apart. 2 vastly different performers and performances. Both did not suck.

Alice was a bucket list gig for me. Neil was one of those “fcuk it ive always wanted to see him, im not doing anything tonight, and the ticket is cheap” sort of shows. Alice’s show was a Halloween thing and that was cool – Jim Rose Circus Sideshow supported. Seeing people hammer nails into their ears and eat razor blades was awesome. Then of course Alice has the most excelently excellent Jimmy Degrasso on drums with him too. Neil had a bunch of old blokes and an orchestra with him. Some old duck from the 60’s came and sang with him – Lulu?? Both shows were just as good as each other. Both full of hits. The crowd at the Diamond show were scarier than that at the Cooper show though. Weird.

The Neil photos aren’t that good. It was a small intimate show for the BBC to launch some new TV station and it was filmed and broadcast, so they were rather narky with photos. Three nights of shows to launch the TV station – Elton John first night, Robert Plant the second night and then Neil. I heart London’s entertainmentness.
